Bowery Laine?

Bowery, commonly known by many New Yorkers, is a street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. For whatever reason I found myself there more often than not while living in NYC. I did however, for a brief amount of time, live in the LES. Whether it was going to Whole Foods, walking to SOHO or going out on the town, Bowery was a dear friend of mine.

Laine has a much less interesting back story....

​Until 1807 Bowery was known as Bowery Lane. Because of trademark difficulties I could not use Lane, thus Laine was born. Also, Bowery Laine sounds much better than Bowery.
